Latin floor show 'Ole Ola' with Fabio Robles. Melissa's dance background incorporates
jazz ballet, Flamenco, African, Street Latin and Lebanese Folk Loric. She has studied in
Egypt with various dancers and choreographers, stating unequivocally that her favourite
teacher is Makhmoud Reda from whom her repertoire of techniques is drawn.
At Hip to Hip we have a dedicated pair of teachers who have been taught and trained at
the Hip to Hip Studio. They each bring their own unique talents and experience whilst still
embodying the Hip to Hip philosophy.
Studio Philosophy
The rare gift of Middle Eastern dance is its ability to draw out and reflect
the humour, life experiences and personality of the individual. It offers
everyone (dancer, student and observer alike) through its multifaceted means
of expression and exploration, healing for the mind, body and soul, and a
joyous unbounding expression of the inner self. This is our inspiration and
the source of joy we consistently find in teaching the dance.
